I had an urge to visit a zoo , this was there inside me for a while, so I called my friend Sukumar from Guduvanchery to accompany me to Vandalur zoo ,chennai.
so, we decided and went today (22.07.2010).The climate was little better in chennai after a downpour previous day,we reached there by around 10.30 in the morning and at the entrance purchased tickets costing Rs 20/each for adults and for fee for Digital camera,after customary checking for any plastic or polythene bags the staff at Anna zoological park allowed us inside the park.
Park is maintained well and its clean , the staff are very polite , the person who took us to lion safari was good enough to stop the van at the best point for us to take photos.

Nice pictures but they are not in their real habitat....they need their own world...the real forest from where they belong...
